Leaders Seminar and Commissioning

On Saturday, 3rd January 2026, PCEA Kiu Kenda Church hosted a meaningful Leaders Seminar and Commissioning aimed at equipping church leaders for effective and faithful service. The seminar brought together elders, group leaders, and ministry representatives at the start of the year, setting the tone for purposeful leadership in the parish.

The seminar was facilitated by the Parish Minister, Rev. Cyrus W. Kimanyi, who led insightful sessions on how to be an effective leader within the church and the wider community. Drawing from biblical principles and practical ministry experience, Rev. Kimanyi emphasized servant leadership, integrity, accountability, and commitment to God’s work. He reminded leaders that true leadership begins with humility, prayer, and a willingness to serve others selflessly.

Participants were encouraged to reflect on their roles as shepherds, mentors, and examples to those they lead. The discussions highlighted the importance of teamwork, clear communication, and spiritual growth as essential foundations for effective leadership. Leaders were also challenged to remain steadfast in faith, especially in times of difficulty, and to rely on God’s guidance in all aspects of service.

The seminar culminated in a commissioning service, where prayers were offered for all leaders as they dedicated themselves anew to serving God and His people. The commissioning symbolized both responsibility and blessing, as the leaders were sent forth to serve with renewed zeal and purpose.

The Leaders Seminar and Commissioning was a timely and impactful event, strengthening the leadership of PCEA Kiu Kenda Parish and reaffirming the parish’s commitment to Christ-centered leadership in the year ahead.
